Kunena 6.2.5 & module Kunena Latest 6.0.7 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.5 [K 6.2.5] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.3.x/4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

This category is for the plugin developed, endorsed, maintained and supported by the Kunena project team. The topics in this category only relate to the plugin developed for K 3.0 and later versions.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

I know I am missing something. Sorry if this was asked I checked the forum and couln't find my exact problem.

I want one section of article comments to go to one section of the forum. Then another section of article comments to go to another section.

They are both going to one.

[KunenaDiscuss debug: Constructor called in com_content ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: createTable: Check if plugin table exists. ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: onPrepareContent.Allow: Category 9 is using default Kunena category 4 ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: onPrepareContent: we are in article/ page. ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: onPrepareContent: Article 34 ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: onPrepareContent: Searched for {kunena_discuss:#}: Custom Topic not found. ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: showPlugin: No topic found ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: showPlugin: Let's see what we can do.. ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: showPlugin: Displaying form ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: showTopic: No messages to render ]
[KunenaDiscuss debug: onAfterDisplayContent: Returning content for article 34 ]

I can't use the {kunena_discuss:#} within each article themselves because I am not the only one posting on my site and that would require me to micro-manage every article.

What I have now is this.
Category Mapping 8,35;11,4;
Default Forum Category 4,35
Allowed Content Categories 8,11
Denied Content Categories 2,4,21,23

If I remove the "default" Category settings I get nothing at all. Not even a ability to write a comment.

If anyone out there has multiple places (category) in their forum for multiple article categories, please let me know what I am doing wrong. Or if this isn't a feature and I need to go back to JComments.

Thanks In Advance.

Nada?

So I should just remove this and go with JComments or the like?

Category Mapping 8,35;11,4;
[strike]Default Forum Category 4,35
Allowed Content Categories 8,11
Denied Content Categories 2,4,21,23[/strike]

Normally, this setting is sufficient. Everything else can be left empty.

Why debug shows "Allow: Category 9 is using default Kunena category 4" ?
Please paste a configuration report and a screenshot of the discuss-plugin-setting here.

You saw that, I was so confused about that I assumed it was only picking up a sub-category and not the main one.

I GOT IT!

I needed to put the subcategories in as well. Again Rich thank you!

Category Mapping 8,35;9,35;10,35;11,4;12,4;13,4;14,4;

Was in the end how it worked out.

Now I need to take the sub categories and make forum categories too - so that way it's all clean and happy and people can discuss it in the proper places.

Discuss works exactly how I wanted it to work - just took you knocking my head a bit to get around my own mistake.
