Question Is it possible to revert from K7.0.8 to K6.4?

Since updating to Kunena 7 (I went straight to K7.0. I've had the most peculiar issue with PDF attachments (instead of displaying the PDF, the website home page (or the website Page Not Found page displays under the forum post). This could be because I've done a certain amount of customisation. Nothing I do is able to fix it. I'm wondering if it's possible to revert Kunena to version 6.4 while I try to resolve the K7 issue on a copy of the website.

Is there a reliable way of reverting to K6.4?

Just realised that the home page or 404 page is displayed because something is blocking embedding of the page with the pdf file. If I navigate to the url of the pdf file it displays normally. Perhaps this is something to do with recent Joomla security hardening measures and nothing to do with Kunena?
