Hey Guys and Girls

I keep having an error when installing kunena 3.0

when i install it as a whole i get this

MySQL 5.0.96-log is not supported. Minimum required version is MySQL 5.1, but it is higly recommended to use MySQL 5.5 or later.

Warning
JLIB_INSTALLER_ABORT_PACKAGE_INSTALL_CUSTOM_INSTALL_FAILURE

Message
Error installing package

But when i extract the package and do it one by one the only thing that is failing is the com_kunena

WHAT is more funny is that on the menu bar in components it says Kunena
But when you click on it you get this message

An error has occurred.
404 Component not found

I have tryed everything this is my last hope

I MEET SYSTEM NEEDS so it is not that...

also i had a look in my ftp after the install in components/com_kunena
and there is only a copyright.php file in there

HELP ME.............. ARRRRRRRRR

Sorry to hear about this. I know it does not change anything, but I was interested in this and decided to look up some information. I am surprised after doing a bit a research how behind GoDaddy has been with upgrades. I tried to investigate the issue to see if they were just offering the older versions of MySQL by default but this does not seem to be the case.

You can look at some similar frustrations here:
Godaddy Support Forum

As for the 5.1 requirement we are still discussing it here internally, but looks like 5.1 is going to be the next default.
