I've reinstalled a fresh joomla 3.0 3 times and each time..joomla registers new users... the second i upload Kunena.. I get no notification of new users begin registered.

I understand kunena does not register users itself as it is a joomla thing...however I am certain it has something to do with kunena being installed that sets this particular thing off.

A setting perhaps? Any insights?

There's a Joomla plugin which sends the emails for new users. I think it was called User - Joomla. Please check that you have the plugin enabled.

Thanks for your reply.
The user menu was set to active.
I tried uninstalling the theme I was using and used protostar.
The forum worked properly at that point.

The problem seems to be related to a free theme I uploaded. (driverally)
I'll just stick to another theme.
THank you.
