My bet is that the HTTP 500 Internal Server Error is caused by the version of Apache or the Joomla site template about which we know nothing.

Have you tried uninstalling sh404SEF? Does it eliminate the fatal error? What does your PHP error log tell you?

I have developed the template myself and I have tested different ones. I'll try removing sh404sef.

Hello,

Can-you please enable dedub mode in Joomla and Kunena configuration panel to see a more detailled error ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hi,

Have you tried uninstalling sh404SEF?

I have just tried that and it didn't make any difference.

Can-you please enable dedub mode in Joomla and Kunena configuration panel to see a more detailled error ?

I did do that however nothing was recorded in the logs and errors can't been seen on the front end due to the internal server error (across the whole site).

I will look into it more and set-up some more test sites.

It is better if you try K 3.0 on a test site. I think that the reason you have these HTTP 500 Internal Server Error problems is because of something else (your template, perhaps) that you are using.

Because you removed parts from your configuration report, we can only guess what those parts might be. It does not help to remove parts from the configuration report even if you do not think those parts are important.

You could also try When all else fails, try this (using J! 3.0.3 and K 3.0.0b1, of course) ;)

Does a "vanilla-flavoured" test site work without these errors?

I could replicate the exact conditions (I tried to on 15 different test sites) but I found the cause in the first instance. I had removed shsef404 from the first site but it still seemed to be causing a problem. After removing a few bits of left-over code, the database tables and re-installing jomsocial the error went away.
