Solved Kunena upgrade, user's avatar missing

Greetings,
I have begun testing an upgrade of a very old/large joomla/kunena web site that was originally created 13 years ago.  Currently, the site has 5,000 users and 68,000 messages, uses Joomla 3.10.12 and Kunena 5.2.13 using Blue Eagle5 template.

I created a dev site and went through the Joomla 4 and Kunena 6 migration.

I work through problems and changes but I noticed that the users avatar is missing on posts.  I looked in folder /media/kunena/avatars/resized/side144/user and there are 631 files there.  My personal avatar works correctly  but kunena appears to not be picking post avatars up.
Suggestions or bug?

I have compared the Kunena 3 and 4 folders, all are the same:
media/kunena/avatars/resized/size144/users/
media/kunena/attachments
There are no errors shown in kunena tools.

I had this problem too. Go in Kunena Configuration (Backend) and Avatar tab. Change first Standard avatar to Image.

If what your saying is Forum configuration: Extra tab, the Display Avatar is set to "yes". In my system, my userID avatar is showing up correctly. Its just that older user/posts avatars are not showing up.

I looked in folder /media/kunena/avatars/resized/side144/user and there are 631 files there.

The avatars must be in /media/kunena/avatars/users.
Example: /media/kunena/avatars/users/avatar963 (where the number is the user ID).
If the avatars are in there, go to Kunena -> Tools in the backend and synchronise the users. Also recount the statistics.

I got to looking at the kunena user table. There is a lot of information missing that was in the original .sql file such as signature and avatar fields are empty. I am not sure if syncing will fix it and if so what options?

OK, I had a backup of the database after converting Joomla and Kunena to their latest versions. I reloaded the five kunena_user_* files and now the system appears to be working correctly
