I have successfully installed Kunena version 6.0.8 within Joomla 4.2.7 using PHP 8.1.13.

Observed behavior

When I try to reply on a post, by using "Reply" or "Quote", this leads to the error

0 Class "KunenaView" not found

This happens as equally using the template "Helix Ultimate" as well as the default template of Joomla.

All tests performing the diagnosis provided by the Kunena extension passed successfully without any issue.

Hello,

You are using the module Kunena search which not made for Joomla! 4.x/Kunena 6.0.x

Can-you please uninstall it and re-try ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

I can only find the plugin "Smart Search - Kunena Forum", which is part of the Kunena version 6.0.8?

1). I have checked all Joomla components and extensions that are displayed in the section "Extension: Manage" of the Joomla System settings in the administration backend.
2) I checked the list of plugins named in the component section of Kunena in the adminstrative Joomla backend.
3) I searched in the database, if the module Kunena search is mentioned somewhere.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to indicate that the module is installed or noted anywhere.

This is strange, since the configuration report, that I did provide in my first post, names the phantom module "Kunena search".

Where can I find this module and how can I remove it?

Smart Search is a part of Kunena 6.0.8.
But it is possible that these other extensions were once installed, but now no longer.

Change the menu item Forum in your "menu-mein-zugang" to the menu type Alias. Menu Issues   Wrong menu items cause over and over again errors.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

/media/kunena/emoticons/ Thanks a lot. That solved the issue. Reply and quote works fine now. I didn't know that the issue type "Kunena Forum - Category List" does not work anymore.

Just for those who have the same issue. That is, what I did in detail:
  1. As recommended, I did switch the menu item type of the menu item "Forum" within my "Main menu" from "Kunena Forum - Category List" to "System Links - Menu Item Alias". You will find these settings in the administration backend of your Joomla system in the section Menus.
  2. The I did point the "Menu Item" of the alias to the "Index" item of the "Kunena Menu". This is a menu that is created automatically by Kunena during the installation.
  3. Then just save and that's it.
At least, this did solve my problem. Good luck to you others.
