Hi, the icon issue is a know issue, we are working for a fix for it. For the main issue. Safari has no build-in support for pdf.
So you need a plugin like adobe pdf or other plugin.

See more info: www.cnet.com/news/pdfs-not-showing-in-safari/

Thanks for reply, 810 :)

But the first two pictures are not from Safari, but from Firefox in a Windows system.

Only the last picture was a sceenshot from an ipad.

Best Regards
Hartmut

Hi 810,

this seems to be not really logical to me.

With v_5.0.14 everything is still fine, which means that the problem should be not caused by the browser, but has to do with Kunena_v_5.1.2.

On my live site 5.0.14 is active and I do not have this "This browser does not support PDFs. Please download the PDF to view it: Download PDF. " and also by clicking the icon I do not have the modal popup. All is fine.

Only v_5.1.2 has this problem.

Any other idea? :)

My browser (Firefox v61.0.2) does open .pdf without any problems (plugin enabled) on any page, also here, but in my forum not.

So I have to investigate further... :-(

Does anyone has an idea?

It is true pdf is not work on all system. Today is world moving on Icloud service. It does not need to store anything in your system. You can use icloud customer service for PDF creating and storage easily.
