Kunena 5.2 Beta 1 Released (24 Sep 2020)

The Kunena team is thrilled to announce the first public beta release of Kunena 5.2, a native Joomla extension for Joomla 3.9. This is a development release and should be only be used for testing; this version is not recommended for live websites at this stage.

The purpose of this release is to encourage testing by downloading, installing and identifying any problems or shortcomings that people may discover. K 5.2.0 B1 is stable and we are aware that people will discover defects. We encourage you to use the forum to report defects, as soon as they are discovered, so that the development team can work through the problems before the release of K 5.1 as a stable product. Reporting defects does not mean that the problems can or will be fixed. The Kunena team is looking forward to hearing your feedback on how well we have achieved our design goals.

Hi. After updating to 5.1.0 version of kunena, clicking on the attachment button, nothing happens any more.

How can I solve the problem?

Morevoer, I've just discovered that the new version of kunena conflicts with event gallery extendend (Event Gallery photos sharing button doesn't work properly). If I disable Kunena component, event gallery works as aspected.

thanks

The issue is worse than I realized. The editor (whatever I choose) doesn't appear anymore in the post editing window....

ok, then open the kunena template settings, and click on save.
Then go to kunena- plugins - and click on rebuild.

I just tried this - it doesn't solve the "missing editor bar" problem... (5.0.14-to-5.1 upgrade, Crypsis template)

As far as the conflict with Event Gallery concerns, below you can read what the extension developer wrote to me:

"I see, and I can reproduce it with version 5.1.0. But I can't do anything about it.

Here is a link which describes the problem.
www.joomlaworks.net/forum/k2-en/21117-rs...x-to-urls-is-enabled

If you can get rid of the suffix attachment like .html, this will work immediately.

If you can't, please contact the Kunena guys. The problem is in plugins\system\kunena\kunena.php:65. The code retrieves an HTML document even if the requested format is different. As a result, you get a full page instead of a small snippet.

If I see the code correctly, you can get the Kunena "powered by"-plugin and it will work since it is no longer necessary for the system plugin to add links to the document.

I've just tried, but the same issues are still there.....

I downgraded to 5.0.14 and everything is ok. I'll reinstall the 5.1.0 version when issues will be solved
