There are a conflict with your script library from
Code:
https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.2/jquery.min.js
When I block this script all buttons work.
Your version seems out of date.

I found the culprit extension and contacted the author.
Now it works.
Thanks a lot.
I just wonder how you could find this, not having access to my site.
(you see: I am not an expert).

The configuration report contains the page address (which can see only our mods or admins).
Go to your forum and then press F12 on your keyboard. It opens your browser tool, choose the tab Network and refresh your page. Now you see a list of your scripts and css files. When the list contains a script where you think it can cause a conflict, block it with the browser tool and refresh the page again. The page loads now without this script in your browser and you see if the error is gone or not.

I just wonder how you could find this, not having access to my site.

Your page is configured so that guests have write access. Therefore I could see the editor buttons.

Wow, thank you very much for the explanation!
I reproduced the problem on my test site, followed your directions and found the culprit after some searching. Great.
