Not sure when this was first noticed but it seems anyone who sometime in the past had an email in their own profile cannot remove it and so it shows out alongside the person's posts.
If he tries to just remove it says "invalid Email address" He can only edit it.

is there a solution for this?

Oh for a neat solution...

You need a email address to use kunena or joomla. So you can't remove the email address, only changing is possible.

Ok.. I understand that, ,in the User Management, but why is it necessary in the profile for some, and not all? What is the purpose of Don't Show if it doesn't work 100% ?

Normal users can't see other emails address.
Admin and mods can always see the email of the user, the point is to see if the user is a spammer or a legit user.

If you want to disable it for all, then hide it by css. or create an template override.

Thanks, makes sense. A user must be able to change his email details if necessary even though on our forum it is never used by anyone, As Admin we don't email members .

However I just created a "registered" user to test this concern. Although the email is displayed in that profile it is not seen by other regular users, as you say. but this new one does see a few others. But all of those joined up about 5 years ago, not recently, so maybe it's somehow due to an update of version thing.

No point going any further since it is not a serious issue.

Oh for a neat solution...
