Idea [K5.0.RC5] Enhance: Reason for Editing Field

For every 100 users that edit a post/topic
Only 5 of them put something in this field (Reason for editing)

Suggestions:
1. Put this field as a required field
or
2. Add the option in the backend to choose if this field is required or not
or
3. Remove the field and use and automatic system (Recommended, I have an idea)
or
4. Remove this feature
or
5. Suggest another

What I mean is to use a similar technology as GitHub
Save the changes in the database, and then show old/new or removed/added if the user make a click on the link.

A popup windows will be opened with the details of the change:

This gave me an idea for placement. I think even better would be to have the edited statement next to the publication time as seen here:



The advantage to this is more consolidation and is next to the other time metadata. This way those curious about metadata see it in a single location.

I can maybe do that, if the Show Edited Mark Up is disabled.
