The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

Solved [k.5.0.RC4] Bug: Not able to approve a topic when edited

More
7 years 9 months ago - 7 years 8 months ago #1 by ssh
Tested with: PHP 7.0.8 + J.3.5.1 + K.5.0.RC4 + Crypsis

How to reproduce the error?
1. Open 2 different browsers or 2 browser instances and login with diferrent users on each one UserA/Browser1 and UserB/Browser2 (UserA=Moderator and UserB=Registered)

2. Make a new post with the UserB/Browser2

3. Approve the post with UserA/Browser1

4. Edit the post with UserB/Browser2

5. Approve the post with UserA/Browser1

Results:
Error in step 4. UserB/Browser2 will see a 403 forbidden page, it should be redirected to the parent category instead or allow access to see his topic with the pending status, or redirect to home page, anything but a 403 forbidden.

Error in step 5. UserA/Browser1 is not able to approve the post, even if the UserB/Browser2 logout.

The only way to approve it once edited is waiting a while or going back to unapproved list view (menu) and approve it from there.

Please note that this is an old bug from previous versions.

The problem occurs in my production site that was recently migrated from k.4.xx to k.5.xx

I assume that you are testing with a clean installation of k.5.0.RC4
Am I right?
if that is the case, Can you please test with 4.0.11?

First tested with K 4.0.11, then upgrade to K5.0

I confirm the 403 forbidden page, but only if its a new topic without another messages. In principle is it after edit a new unapproved topic.

Exactly.

For error in step 5, do you use cache?
I have these:
Joomla conservative Cache = ON
Kunena caching = YES
Apache mod_cache = YES
Opcache = YES
