Solved [K.5.0.RC3] Quick reply now has an inline forum instead of popup but is inaccessible due to overlay

The new quick reply is now inline rather than the modal popup, but the modal backdrop still pops up making the form inaccessible because it overlays the entire page.

The grayed out look is from the backdrop.

try going to edit template.

go to basic setting - select the type you want

1) Default = Bootstrap panel
2) Modal = As Modal
3) Full editor on the bottom


Then save

I am aware of how to change it, but the default option seems bugged.

found the issue, until then switch the "Show default actions" option

That is exactly how my file reads, and it is not overridden in template or anything. Just to verify, it is only the default option that seems to do this, Modal and Always Visible seems to work just fine, and I will likely use the alwayse visible option anyway, just wanted to point out the bug.

which is odd because I didn't think the default method where the form is inserted into the content would use modal at all.

should be switchable from admin panel or maybe not mark by default?
