What do you mean send my joomla template? This is the one I used but I have it renamed: www.joomlart.com/joomla/templates/ja-Playstore

Are the image urls supposed to be this: "/media/kunena/../assets/images/underline.png"? because that's what all of mine are. I don't have an assets folder in the kunena folder or even the media folder.

ok that joomla template has kunena overrides, so they need to update it.

For now you can try: rename to com_kunena1
templates/ja_playstore/html/com_kunena

And check again.

I didn't have a com_kunena folder in templates/ja_playstore/html/. But I did get them to work by copying the images from the template folder, creating the assets/images/ folders in media/kunena/ directory and then changing the kunena.css (located in /media/kunena/cache/crypsisb3/css) to have this link "url(/media/kunena/assets/images/emoticon.png)" instead of this link "url(/media/kunena/../assets/images/emoticon.png)". Then it seemed to work for me.
