The URL that is generated is: www.911truthoutreach.org/forum/attachment/1.html

The file that was uploaded is present in /kunena/attachments/203/filename.pdf. So upload proceeds without issue, but attempts to subsequently download generates a 404 File Not Found error. Folder permissions are 755 and and file permissions are 644.

This URL doesn't appear to have been generated as a result of a hash being created for the actual file.

Confirmed. It seems that you've found a bug. If you select in the Joomla global configuration "Adds Suffix to URL = Yes" no attachments and images are available in the forum.
Please select in backend "Adds Suffix to URL = No", then it should work.

Thanks, that did it. Very nice forum component by the way. I will have to give it kudo's on the JED.

Noted. Reported in GitHub #4017 .

This topic was posted in the General user contributions . The description in this category is "Please note: The Kunena project team takes NO responsibility for maintaining nor supporting anything in this category." The question for the team is:

a) Does this mean that the bug will not be fixed for K 4.0.x; or

b) this topic should be moved to the Support category instead?

EDIT: Thank you for moving this to the correct category.

Hi,

Even I have experiencing the similar issue "404 File not Found" for images.

Is there any alternative method, instead of turning "Adds Suffix to URL = No" in the backend ??

Hello,

There was a fix done for it in Kunena 5.0RC5, are-you using Kunena 4.0.11 ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
