Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

It seems that Kunena uses Mootools library to load BBcode.

I think Joomla is intending to use jQuery, right?

If we load both jQuery and Mootools on same page, it will increase the possibility of JS conflicts, right?

So, could you please change this method to load BBcode with jQuery ?

I ask this because, recently I noticed that my BBcode on Kunena can not show up. When I composing a post on forum, the place where BBcode buttons should appear has no buttons, only one message:

Loading BBCode editor...


Even after I finished input of my post message, that text is still there, on BBcode buttons show up.

When I inspect that page with Google Chrome browser, I see one js error :

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'appendChild' of null mootools-core.js:91

When I hover my mouse to the filename mootools-core.js of above message, I got its file path is:

www.joomlagate.com/media/system/js/mootools-core.js


I have no idea why this Mootools js file from Joomla core has errors?

Is this a bug of Kunena?

Hello,

We have converted all mootools scripts to jQuery only into the Crypsis template, the blue eagle template is a legacy template and it has been removed from Kunena 5.0.
I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
