Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

ok thnx, have you reported this to the akeeba team.

Because I want to have so much clean code as possible. And its 2016 so utf-8 should be fully working now.

I did not report this to Akeeba team. Because I remember that I had successfully extracted a JPA file before, that JPA file contains Kunena attachments that has Chinese words in their filenames.

I don't know why that JPA file can be extracted, why this one can not. I don't want to waste my time or your time on this question. because I know: if I refuse filenames containing Chinese words, this problem will not happen.

Today I tested with Kunena 5.0 RC4,which is the latest version. It still allows UTF-8 characters in attachments filenames !

There IS NOT any option in Kunena configuration to prevent this!

When will you implement this feature? In the final Kunena 5 stable?

If we introduce an option like that in Kunena 5.0, your files already uploaded keep the utf8 characters in the filename so the issue will still happen

I'am thinking to add a tools instead an option to remove all utf8 characters in filename, think it will be better
I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.
