Question Backend hangs when viewing attachments

Hello,

I have an installation with more than 12.500 attachments. In the backend I can't open the Kunena-attachments. After a while I get an 504 Gateway Timeout.

This happens in a migrated installation with Kunena 6.4 in Joomla 5.
The backend of the old site with Joomla 2.5 and Kunena 3 works without any problem and shows the first page of attachments after 1 second.

I did the migration this way:

• install a new Joomla 3
• copy all Kunena-tables into the new database in phpMyAdmin
• install Kunena 5 -> that did the update for the table-structure from Kunena 4 to Kunena 5
• install a new Joomla 5
• copy all Kunena-tables from Kunena 5 into the new database in phpMyAdmin
• install Kunena 6 -> that did the update for the table-structure from Kunena 5 to Kunena 6

I compared the structure of the table kunena_attachments with one in an other installation without detecting any differences. Structure and indexes are the same.

Any idea what could be wrong there? Are there any joins to other tables that I have to check for problems?

Which K6 version did you upgrade to from K5? K6.3 or K6.4?
Synchronize the users and have the statistics counted, maybe it will be better then.

If you show not All attachments in the page it pass to the query the number of attachments in the page (25, 50...).

The 504 Gateway Timeout isn't about load entries from database is more about network issue on the server or issue with apache. Maybe ask to your hosting company if at the moment when you see this error they can see something in the logs ?
