Kunena 7.0.4 Released
The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
Question It is necessary to prohibit the possibility of changing topic headings
Currently (I have the latest versions of Kunena and Joomla) Kunena allows you to change the topic title by simply changing the title in any post within the topic.
For example, if the topic is called "Important Information" and in the title of one of the following posts you enter "I love my wife", the title of the entire topic in the list of topics will change to "I love my wife", although the topic title in the first post and the following ones (before the sabotage with the replacement) will remain the same. And such a title change can be done by any forum user!
This is wrong, since it confuses those who follow the topic or see it in the list for the first time. It also violates the rights of the topic author, who deliberately chose the name. By the way, the question to leave the right to change the title of the first post and along with it the entire topic or not for the author and / or the administrator, can be put in the forum parameters.
I think that it is urgently necessary to introduce a ban on changing the topic name (until the issue of parameters is resolved). At the same time, I would be very happy if the user could still enter their own title for their post within a topic. This would give users the opportunity to somehow emphasize what they want to say in their reply. It would also create the illusion of a tree-like structure of replies within a topic, which is implicit in Kunena.
Thanks

I wish I had found this setting myself.
Indeed, no one except the administrator can change the topic after setting this setting. Unfortunately, the user cannot change the title of their post either.
So part of my question remains.
Can the Kunena team make it so that the user can enter their own title for their post in the topic. This would give users the opportunity to emphasize what they want to say in their reply. This would also partially create the illusion of a tree structure of replies in the topic that Kunena actually provides (and which my users really miss).
Maybe it is possible to include this option in the TO-DO list?
Thanks

This is a bug and has already been reported on Git. It does not occur on the first page of a topic, but only when you change the title on the next pages (at least in my tests). Can you confirm this, or does the error already occur on the first page of a topic? Then I can describe the error more precisely on Git.There is a setting in Kunena's settings that allows users to change the post title or not.
The first option has the disadvantage that when you change the post title, the title of the entire topic is automatically changed.
Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!
