Question E-Mail notifications not sent

Hi all,
I've tried around quite a lot, but for some weird reason, kunena (6.2.2) e-mail notifications on my website (Joomla 4.4.2) are not sent.

Can anyone help me with this problem? Is there maybe a way to check if kunena tries to send the e-mails and any errors occur? (System e-mails and e-mails from other components are delivered without a problem)

All kunena diagnosis tests seem to be completed successfully.

Please find the report attached below.

Thank you for your help!

Best regards
Robert

Hello,

When you go into Joomla! configuration panel and make a test of sending mail, is-it working in this case ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Hi xillibit,
thanks so much for your reply!

The standard joomla test e-mails via the configuration panel are sent and received without any problems (just as e-mails by other components such as JEvents and Phoca Download).

Only e-mails created by kunena seem to not be sent.

Best
Robert

Replied by rich on topic E-Mail notifications not sent
Have you subscribed to topics or categories? Because with your configuration, no emails are sent to admins or moderators for new posts by default.

Important! Always create a backup before you make any changes to your website!

Hi Rich,

thanks for your reply! I have indeed subscribed to the (all) categories. As my one account is an admin and the other account is a moderator in this forum: Does that mean that I will not get ANY e-mails if the "send all new to mods/admins" is deactivated?
I've just activated the "send all new to mods/admins" in the config/security and then I do indeed receive emails. If turned off, I don't... Does this mean, normal users got e-mails from subscribed categories the whole time and I was just "out of the loop" as the mod/admin?

Thanks so much
Robert

Amendment: I've double-checked it now: I do receive e-mails as a mod/admin for "moderated categories". But a newly created "normal user" does not receive e-mails für his subscribed categories.

Any ideas?
