Kunena 6.4.9 & Kunena 7.0.1 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.9 [K 6.4.9] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.1 [K 7.0.1] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

Hi My forum does not work anymore after upgrade ; The following error occurs:

Hallo Polleke,
Volgens mij had je dan (net als ik) een foutmelding tijdens de update van 5.2.2 naar 5.2.3 Er gaat iets mis tijdens die update. Op mijn server geeft ie en fout van fileInfo niet geinstalleerd.
Toen kreeg ik dezelfde fout melding als jij hebt.
Oplossing: gewoon versie 5.2.2 vanuit de originele zip-file weer installeren, daarmee ben je weliswaar weer terug op versie 5.2.2 maar alles werkt weer als hiervoor.

Had zelfde probleem ineens. Suggestie opgevolgd en versie 5.2.2 weer geinstalleerd. Werkt nu weer.
Vraag blijft wel waarom versie 5.2.3. met installeren problemen geeft.

To solve this issue, you need to update blue eagle in version 1.6.3 if used and the kunena addons (modules and plugin) in 5.2.1: github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Addons/releases/tag/5.2.1

I agree,
Even if i am dutch i prefer english support.
but my problem is solved by installing the upgrade of the modules and plugins.

An other solution I found out: remove the check on fileinfo.so in the install.php file in the com.kunena package.
After removing this check I could normally install version 5.2.3. Also the bleu eagle template 1.6.3 can be installed in the regular way. Until now I have not found any problems yet.
I’ll contact my provider to see if they can enable the fileinfo.so module.
