I updated to Kunena 4.0.7 (J 3.4.5) and I now receive a 500 error when I try and upload attachments to the forum (either images or documents).

The error is:

500 Internal Server Error
Fatal Error was detected!

Please contact the site owner.

The back end settings appear to be correct and the file sizes are well under the limits.

Does anyone have any suggestions that would restore the ability to attach files?

please enable kunena debug, then you see the error message.

I enabled debug mode but it doesn't show an error message because as soon as I add an attachment and click submit it just goes straight to the 500 error page.

I see that you are using uddeIM 3.0. I have seen other reports of problems with older versions of uddeIM and Kunena. I think it would be a good idea if you updated uddeIM; I believe the latest version is v. 3.7.
