Kunena 6.4.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.8 [K 6.4.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

Hi, I'm doing a long overdue upgrade of our community website ... (I was somewhat nervous about beginning since it was quite a trial to get everything working properly in the first place :)

I've made most of the website upgrade: Kunena Upgrade 1.6.2 to 4; Joomla 1.5 to 4.0. I've managed to get Kunena 4.0 working with Joomla 4 but have the following warnings that appear on the user screen as well as the admin screen:

I checked another post that suggested deleting an example file - there isn't one in my set up.

Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity "file:///C:/xamp/htdocs/Joomla3_5/components/com_kunena/template/default/template.xml" in C:\xamp\htdocs\Joomla3_5\libraries\kunena\template\template.php on line 142 (and also line 1145 of the same file).

I would be so relieved if someone could assist with these 2 problems ...

1) Make full backup
2) Uninstall kunena by joomla backend - manage
3) check that administrator/components/com_kunena dir and components/com_kunena dir are removed
4) Install kunena again

Thanks a lot. I had to delete and re-install Kunena a couple of times - but now it all works fine.
