After having upgraded to Kunena 4.0.8 and being with Joomla 3.4.8 I have following message when trying to get onto my site forum:

500 Internal Server Error
Fatal Error was detected!

The error was detected in the Kunena Component.

Fatal Error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in components/com_kunena/views/category/view.html.php on line 653

For support click here: Kunena Support

Go back

the line 653 is following: $cachegroup = 'com_kunena.category';

Every thing was ok before up grading. Any help?

this is a know issue, we are trying to fix this issue.

If this is a known issue, can you please quote the GitHub reference? We would like to know how and when this problem is fixed. Thank you.

we have no fix at the moment, we are trying to collect some details from other users.

There are reports from this issue, but for now we can't reproduce the issue. Its seems its caused by an old/outdated php versions.

Do you have links to these reports, please? If there are reports of problems with the installation of K 4.0.8, I think the community would like to follow this issue.

Which "old/outdated" PHP versions seem to be likely causes of the problem?

Thank you.

if you go to recent, then you see issues with 4.0.8, that are all the same issue:

like www.kunena.org/forum/k-4-0-installation-...a-4-0-8-uddeim-issue

I haven't reproduce the issue, so i can't tell why it isn't working correct.

What was "the issue" and, more importantly, could you please provide us with the GitHub reference so that we can track (a) what was wrong and (b) how you fixed the problem.

Thanks
