No updates? This is still a problem, though since this I updated the modules to 3.1.1 and that crashed my site. So now things are even worse...

i think your file permissions are wrong on some dirs, try with akeeba tools to fix the file permissions, and try to update.

Else enable the kunena debug, and tell us what the error message is.

What permissions need to be on the template folder?
