Hi all

Before upgrade my production site, I always do a restore in my test local server to ensure that all will go ok.

I installed Xampp 1.8.1 and restored my backup succesfully. All went ok.

After that, I tried to upgrade Kunena (K 2.0.4) to K 3.0, but the process stopped with fatal error message:

After that every time I try to enter in kunena administration backend the installation process begins again with the same result. Of course, the forum went down whith maintenance message on screen.

What can be wrong?

Are there any known issue with Xampp installation?

Hello,

I see no error message or fatal error on your sceenshot, what third party plugins do you have installed on your joomla onstallation ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Top of that is in english:
Code:
COM_KUNENA_INSTALL_PLEASE_WAIT="Installing Kunena, please wait..."
Code:
COM_KUNENA_INSTALL_ERROR_FATAL="Sorry, installation failed on fatal error!"

I checked from github that es-ES.com_kunena.install.ini and en-GB.com_kunena.install.ini files... github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/tree/deve...unena/admin/language

Hi Xillibit & Mortti. Thank you for your replies.

Yes, in my screenshot the text is:

"Installing Kunena, please wait..."

and just at the begining the process stopped, and the message progress says:

"Sorry, installation failed on fatal error", but nothing more... no error explain...

If I click on "installation details" the message appears:

"Preparing installation" - Nothing more

No 3rd plugins installed. Only kunena, udde IM and template.

Can be a languaje packaje error?

Thank you in advance.

I think it's not. Check your Apache Error Log File what it's give when you try upgrade.

Hi there,

I am facing exactly same issue and the Error message during Kunena installation is saying the following:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /homepages/administrator/components/com_kunena/install/schema.php on line 296

Fatal error: Class 'KunenaFactory' not found in /homepages/administrator/components/com_kunena/install/model.php on line 700

Does this say something to you, which helps finding a solution?

Best regards

Michael
