Kunena 6.3.0 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

K 3.0.0 install failed on J 3.1.1 (but succeeds using J! 2.5 on the same server) was created by spritcha

I am working on a local win7 server using Xampp. I have J1.5, J2.5.11, and J3.1.1 all running under XAMPP in separate folders as subdomains. Vhosts configured for all. Server has internet access but sites only running .local.

When installing pkg_kunena_v3.0.0_2013-05-15 on the J3.1.1 site I receive the following in Extension Installer:

Kunena Installation Failed!
Installation Details:
Prepare Installation ... OK
Installing Kunena - Alphauserpoints plug-in ... OK
Installing Kunena - Community plug-in ... OK
Installing Kunena - Comprofiler plug-in ... OK
Installing Kunena - Gravatar plug-in ... OK
Installing Kunena - Uddeim plug-in ... OK
Installing Kunena - Kunena plug-in ... OK
Installing Kunena - Joomla plug-in ... OK

There are no 'CREATE' Jobslisted after all the Intall jobs.

Installer message after I close the Kunena Fail popup:
Installing Kunena
Installing Package was successful.

On inspection I see:
DB tables installed
Admin/Site components installed
Listed in Components in Admin Compnents Screen, with all sub headings.

clicking on Kunena Component brings up:
Kunena Installation Failed!
Installation Details:
Preparing Installation ...

SERVER CONFIGURATION
XAMPP SERVER ON WIN 7. Local network install DEV server.
Joomla! 3.1: version 3.1.1
Installed on a CLEAN install as well as a Default English Sample Data install
No other extensions installed in either configuration
PHP: version 5.3.1 or greater = 5.4.7
MySQL: version 5.1 or greater = 5.5.27

max_execution_time = 120
memory_limit =128M
safe_mode = off
upload_max_filesize >= 10M
GD, DOM, JSON support installed = YES

Interestingly, installing the same package on the same server under J2.5.11 is successful! Same DB - local MYSQL, same collation, php, etc.

I can forward any files that would help diagnose this!

I'm sorry but there is not much we can do to assist you with this particular problem. Please read our general policy regarding Support for PC-hosted websites (e.g. WAMP, XAMPP) .

Have you tried installing K 3.0.0 on a hosted platform accessible on the Internet?
