The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0
If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your
configuration report
when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.
Question Language display

Language display was created by Ch3vr0n
So i've started to customise my forum. Since restriction forum sections to a certain language (like menu items, modules) without doubling all usergroups and workload relating to menus & modules i'll seperate the forum in 2 Language sections.
Now the thing i can't seem to figure out how to have the forum display in english too.
I've installed the component first, then the language pack. So i was under assumption when i change the joomla language through language module from nl to en, the forum GUI would swap to english too, however this is not the case. While joomla itself does swap to english, the front-end forum gui stays in nl, even if i specifically specify through user management that the users front end language is english?
Am i doing something wrong or am i missing something?

for the second language.
1) change forum menu item, set language to dutch.
2) copy menu item. then change language to English.
3) Create new menutype. like kunenamenu2
4) copy all menu items from kunenamenu. Use the batch.
5) Move all items (2) to kunenamenu2.
6) translate all titles to English.
7) go to forum menu item (English) and change Menu-item to load kunenamenu2 - forum.
Change all items on kunenmenu2 to language English
9) same for kunenamenu to language dutch.
If you don't get to work. you can hire me for a hour. see ( www.jellekoksolutions.nl/ondersteuning )

I had to go a slightly different way. I know how to assign languages to a menu module. the thing is i'm using category listing, i have no use for the default kunena menu.
My setup is like this
<nl root menu>
- support
-- forum (category list, selected category "hoofd forum")
<en root menu>
- support
-- forum (category list, selected category "main forum")
The problem now is that since i don't use the "home" menu, the kunena menu doesn't show up at all. First i need the kunena menu back under category listing. Then we can proceed.
oh and € 55 an hour? Thats like 5x what i make an hour, can't even remotely afford u. With clear instructions i can pretty much do things myself

You can do it only with my suggestion. Your way is just one page.
Please try my way. You will see that is working.
Regards 810
PS 55 euro is just the start price. For you work, I just need 10 min. So you can also ask me fix other issues.

2) you say menu type, you mean 2 kunena menu's under "menu manager" with linked modules?
6) why is there a need to translate, i thought kunena was native englih and that the lang pack would take over
** edit ** also while the menu can be fixed that way, the forum content strings themselves such as "Total User Online" are still being displayed in nl-NL despite the fact that the test superuser specifically has both their frontend and backend language set to en-GB
