Question Archiving Kunena Posts

Hi guys, I have a quite big (old) forum with 150 K + posts in it but it's no longer active within past 2 - 3 years but I can't shutdown the website for some reasons.
What would you suggest to decrease the server resource usage for kunena so I can move the website to cheaper server?
In vbulletin there is an archive function that will convert old posts to html files so it didn't need to read db when the old posts accessed. Is there any similiar function in kunena?

There is no such function in Kunena. I don't understand why you can shut down the website, unless you mean you have a contract with the hosts that still needs to run its time.

I don't think 150k posts takes up a lot of server resources, unless there are lots of images. In which case, you could (after making a backup with Akeeba and saving it locally) use the Kunena Admin Tools to delete all those images. If the site is no longer active, losing the images won't matter.

Have you updated Kunena to the latest version?

The website currently running on 2Gb SSD'ed vps and I want to move it to a shared hosting, but then this article make me hesitate abit :

what would you suggest?

I have spoken with Matias (lead developer) about this, and his opinion is that it should work fine on that spec of server, it will just take longer to load the pages.
