Question Issues with registered users vs. guests

This is the first time I've used the kunena forum in a website. We have run into some issues. I thought I had it set so that guests can read the forum but can't post, but apparently not. I got the following message from a user:

We've been confused about some aspects of the forum. First, when I'm logged in, I can see this post. If viewing as a guest, it is hidden. Our historians tried to access this post as well, but, even when logged in, they could not see it.

This what I see when logged in. What is the difference between the phone and the check mark?





Also, I attempted to add a new topic to each of the tank battalions, but the system would not allow me to post duplicate messages. Can I override that?
