The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.0 [K 6.3.0] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

This is for a Joomla! 3.1.5 Stable [ Ember ] 01-August-2013 14:00 GMT install on a development server (sorry no external access).

I've read several related threads but was unable to find the solution to allow pdf files to be uploaded.

In Joomla Admin Panel>Components>Kunena Forum>Configuration>Uploads>Files>Allowed File Types I've added pdf and added the MIME type for it in the Images>Legal MIME Types (application/pdf). Also Images>Allow Image Types added it (pdf).

In the Joomla Admin Panel>Global Configuration>Media Manager>Legal Extensions (File Types) pdf is present, as is Legal MIME Types.

Thank you for any assistance.

In the configuration of Kunena I see a list of default file types that are allowed as attachments to posts. PDFs is not one of them. I added pdf separated from the other file types with a comma and no space, as the information tip describes. But, I still cannot attach or insert a PDF to a post. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you also allow these filetypes in your Joomla Global Configuration settings?

I am running Joomla 2.5 and my understanding is that the file types allowed are set in the media manager, which I had already done. I have revisited it to ensure the pdf extension was included, and it is. Any other thoughts you have would be appreciated.
