Kunena 7.0.4 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Question Filters not applied simultaneously

Hi!
Clean installation.
While in Recent Topics, it is not possible to apply date filter and category filter at the same time. (This was possible in previous versions)

Once one option is selected, the filter is automatically aplied, before pressing "go" button.

Best regards.

Can you remind me, in which "previous version", when you could use the date/time pull-down with the category pull-down simultaneously in using the Recent Topics view? Because I do not use these options very much in my normal day-to-day usage of Kunena, I do not remember when these filters worked "simultaneously" as you claim. I would very much like to know in which specific previous version when "this was possible".

As far as I know, I don't think anything has changed ... but I could be wrong.

Take it easy pal. I really don't use that option either.
Just a comment from one of my users. I reported it as I thought it was a bug.
Anyway, if filter is always aplied after selection, the button has not too much sens, I think...

Cheers

I was taking it easy. :D I just didn't remember when (or if) the behaviour changed, that's all. I really have no recollection of when (or if) in a "previous version", the filtering behaved differently. I was only quoting what you wrote in msg #1:

Well, that may or may not be the case I really don't know because, as I wrote before, I have no personal recollection.

The selection filters not make "much sense" - again, that's a personal observation and everyone is entitled to a different opinion - or the behaviour may not be the most desirous behaviour, perhaps, and it could be something that needs to be looked into.

Most of us, who spend most of our days on busy forums (like the one here at this site) don't really have a lot of time to experiment with all the features of the forum software to discover operational issues that grate against our personal tastes; this could be one of those cases, but we appreciate the feedback nonetheless.

Thanks for reporting this matter. If others in the community would like to contribute to this discussion then that would be nice, too. :)

What I mean here is, if filter is automatically applied after making the selection in the dropbox, the button "go" will never be used, so it would have no sense.
I guess the button "go" was originally intended to apply the filters after making the selection in the dropboxes.

Not a big problem, anyway...

Yes, good point: why have a "Go" button when the SELECT elements fire an onChange() event and submit the form anyway? I tend to agree with you.
