Kunena 7.0.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.8 [K 7.0.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x./6.1.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. If you do not post your configuration report we will not ask you for it but you will probably not get your problem solved, either.

Hi!

I know that this question has been answered several times and even in the wiki you can find informations about it. Unfortunately I did everything what is written there (at least I think that I did) with no result.

The facts:
I want a forum on my site with different categories for different users. There is a category for guests which is moderated and visible to everyone (works fine). Additionally there are other categories for all members (at least "registered"). And there is a section with two categories which should only be visible for members with at least "author" status. This section is called "Organisation".

The problem is, that every registered member is able to view the section "Organisation" and the two categories inside. I tried everything to prevent that with no success. Here my settings:

Section "Organisation":
Access Controlltype: Usergroups
Primary Usergroup: Auhtor (subgroups yes)
Second. Usergroup: Manager (subgroups yes)

Category "Meetings":
exactly the same, plus
Who is able to open threads: Manager, Author, Superuser

Here is my configuration report:

Hello,

Can-you do a screenshot of your Kunena categories manager page, like that we can see clearly how you are configured ?

I don't provide support by PM, because this can be useful for someone else.

Looks like the categories are set up correctly. Can you try one thing for me:

Can you change type from user groups into viewlevels and select "Special". Does it work for you?

Sorry, does not work. I have even tried setting up a newly created category. It was always visible to "registeres" but it should have been visible starting with "author". I tried it with user groups and with view levels.

Any other ideas? The other user restrictions in Joomla are working fine (as far as I can tell).

Thanks,
Alex
