G'day, garrymula, and welcome to Kunena.

garrymula wrote: Hi i to have this problem

I do not understand what problem you have.

When I go to your forum I can read the topics but I am not a registered user of your forum so I cannot post a message - which is normal. The subject of this topic is "how to setup forum so that all can read but only registered users can post". What is the problem that you are having?

I suggest that, if you want to make things work better, you should change the forum integration plugin settings as shown below in red:

Kunena - AlphaUserPoints Disabled
Kunena - Community Builder Disabled
Kunena - Gravatar Disabled
Kunena - JomSocial Disabled
Kunena - Joomla Enabled: access=1 login=1
Kunena - Kunena Enabled: avatar=1 profile=1
Kunena - UddeIM Disabled

Your problem seems to be caused by a Javascript function that is fired about 2 seconds after the page loads. When this Javascript function is fired, the text in the message body is removed. It would take me a while (could be am hour or more) to diagnose the source of this Javascript condition for you. My suggestion is that you review why you need so many Javascript things on your site and remove anything that is unnecessary to your forum.

If you enable your browser's script debugging tools (e.g. Firebug for Firefox) you will find that a few of those Javascript things (that create ads on your pages) have warnings and errors in them. You might want to reconsider some of those ads; it is possible that one or more of those ads is causing this problem.

If I was in your place I would disable, one by one, everything that is not connected to Kunena; test each time you disable something until you find the Joomla extension that you installed that causes the problem.

Did you find the Joomla extension that you installed on your website that caused the problem? Did you fix your problem? Was the problem caused by Kunena?

I visited the problem wesbite and two things have occurred:

1) The website now uses a different site template; and
2) The problem of the "disappearing text" has also gone.

Even though we did not learn what caused the problem, this topic is now closed.
