when you go into a category from the front end, why does the category header display the text "Category Header" ? There doesn't seem to be an admin setting to change this.

Thank you for a good question about how to change the text strings used in Kunena.

As with most things in Kunena, the text is defined in the language file (see Where is the language file? ). In K 3.0, this text is defined in the file ../components/com_kunena/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_kunena.tpl_blue_eagle.ini.

As we all know, you should not edit the original source code directly but, instead, it is better to define a your own custom overrides to change the value of symbolic names. To create a language override you should go to Extensions » Language Manager » Overrides » New to define a new value for the symbolic name that you want to use instead of the one(s) that are defined as part of the standard installation.

If you would like help about using language overrides you can find more about this subject in the Joomla documentation library. I hope this helps you.

Since the contents of each of these Category Header areas are uniquely activated for each board we create, can the ability to name them be added to the back end for each board, so that each board's header can be made specific to the focus of that board?

For example, an 'info-based' board might be given a header called "Read this before posting here", with important info in the header's content area, while a project progress board might be given a header called "Resources", the contents of which might providing participants with quick access links to their external tools. I can easily think of a lot of other possibilities for such a feature within my own forum.

No such flexibility is available with a single, universal header title.
