Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Topics that are moved into this category are generally considered to be closed. Users may want to add additional information but these topics should not be resurrected in order to discuss new problems or unrelated matters.

Solved I delete posts/topics but they still seem to be there ... ?

Hi

I have a problem with Kunena.

I have installed a clean Joomla 2.5.18 site and the Kunena 3.0.4. Nothing else !

Then i log into the frontend and create a post in Kunena. After the post is saved i click on the "delete" button. The page reloads, but the post is not shown as deleted. I can click multiple times and nothing happens (except for the reload).

If i then hit some of the other kunena menu items suddenly a lot of "The message was deleted" messages appear. (See attached picture)

How do i fix that ?

There are known problems with the Beez20 template. Would you like to try your test again with a different Joomla template for J! 2.5?

I'm not sure what really has caused your problem.

Here are a couple of suggestions:

(1) Use Kunena Forum » Forum Tools » Recount Statistics in the backend (try the test again)

(2) Enable Global Configuration » Site » SEO Settings » Use URL rewriting = Yes (try the test again)

(3) Reinstall K 3.0.4 - do not uninistall Kunena from your site (use the method shown in the K 3.0 Upgrade Guide ) - - and then try the test again.

This is an interesting puzzle, isn't it?

This is where the problem begins. The site administrator should always be able to see deleted topics or deleted posts within topics (unless you permanently delete the posts/topics). The real question is here what do you mean by "the post is not shown as deleted".

This could be a caching issue but I can't be sure.

What are the Joomla global settings for caching?

Very odd.

One other thing you might try is to use Kunena Forum » Forum Tools » Synchronize Users and check all the checkboxes.
