Solved How do you kill a shadow?

One of my moderators moved a topic from one category to another, and selected the "leave a shadow topic" option. He didn't mean to select this option (the topic is now in a "private" category and regular users keep getting an "access denied" error), and now we cannot figure out how to get rid of the shadow topic from the original category.

We tried moving the topic back to the original category, and then moving it back without the shadow option checked, but that did not do it.

This is a really good question. I know the answer but it may be a little difficult to explain in a few words.

You need to delete the shadow topic from the category view. Select the checkbox to the right of the shadow topic, choose delete from the actions at the bottom of the page and press "Go". I hope that (very) rough guide helps.
