Hi,

Is it possible to make the first post "sticky" as you can do for topics.
Our client enters the first post within a topic for the users to comment on.
It would be great if we could "freeze" the first post so when a user needs to comment on it, it would always be present at the top of the list of posts.

Any idea if this is possible.

Many Thanks
Richard

This is one of those topics that cycles around every once in a while. the last time this subject was discussed was over a year ago: Is it possible to sticky a post within a topic?

This issue was unresolved a year ago and it remains unresolved now. Until or unless someone designs a plugin for Kunena that is able to mark a specific post with a "sticky bit" (similar to how topics are marked with a "sticky bit") and then sort the output of the topic based on "sticky bit" by first-post-first (or last-post-first), then the issue will remain unresolved now.

If this is important enough to you, and you would like us to move this topic to one of the "custom work" categories (payment/non-payment), we could arrange that for you.

In the meantime, unless there is a member of this community who knows of a solution for you, I don't know how to help you further, sorry.

Thanks for the quick reply,

Think its a good idea but they've managed without it before so we will leave it for now.

Cheers

Hello! Is it possible to lock the very first post of the topic, so it will be shown on all pages of that topic? Thanks a lot :) (using kunena 3)

It is not possible until someone implements a solution like the one I suggested in msg #3 of this topic. Kunena is open source software. All the source code is there for anyone to experiment with and improve if they think they have some good ideas for improvement. If someone knows how to make this work then that would be good.

As far as I know, no-one has developed a solution.
