Kunena 6.2.6 released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.2.6 [K 6.2.6] which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.1 / K 6.2 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.2

The error code HTTP 500 Internal Server Error is a general-purpose message this indicates a general error in a web application. Please note that there is no general solution for this general error. You should first read HTTP 500 Internal Server Error before posting in this category.

If you are having problems then, for your own benefit, it would save us all a lot of time if you would kindly post your configuration report when you ask for help from this forum. Good day,

I have recently upgraded and migrated Kunena from Version 2.0.4 on Joomla 1.5 firstly to Version 2.0.4 on Joomla 2.5.19 and then onto Version 3.0.5 on Joomla 3.2.3.

I migrated Kunena by exporting users and tables, changing database prefix in all instances and importing the tables back in using phpMyAdmin.

On testing I notice Search is not working correctly for my last two migrations.

The url dispaying is: .com/index.php/forum/search?query=hello&childforums=1

After searching for the term 'hello' the page on Joomla 2.5.19 returns a 500 Internal Server Error

On my Joomla 3.2.3 site the page returns a non css formatted plain page without the search results.

Any help to get my search working would be appreciated.

I have Kunena Debug Mode activated and when I try to search this is the message displayed:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 130968 bytes) in /home/######/public_html/new/libraries/kunena/forum/category/helper.php on line 405

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Remove the extra Joomla extensions that are choking the PHP memory allocation on your website. See Improving Kunena performance .

Hello Sozzled, thank you for your help.

I'm running clean installs of joomla without third party extensions.

Looking further into my issue it appears it could be a problem with my _kunena_categories sql

I can search in Kunena when I select a single category from the search page but when I search for a term in a Section or All Categories with the 'Also search in sub-categories' button checked I get the error.

Very frustrating. Any advice welcomed.

It may help to watch the video vimeo.com/69818669 and to read the article HTTP 500 Internal Server Error as recommended to do at the top of this page.

Note: Migrating from J! 1.5 brings with it a whole host of issues that can take hours, days or even weeks to work through ... slowly, patiently, methodically, bit by bit.
