The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.4 [K 7.0.4] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural changes that occurred in K 2.0, many of the ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Hello Community,

yes i know that there multiple Topics for my specific Problem, so i started a new Thread.

I would like to have this structure in my Website:
Code:
[Home] [ItemA] [ItemB] [Forums] [ItemC]

If my user click the Forums button, the menu should (and its doing it so far :-) ) do this here:
Code:
[Home] [ItemA] [ItemB] [JoomlaMenuItemAlias to LinkToSingleArticleA ] [ItemC] [LinkToSingleArticleA] [LinkToForumCategoryA] [LinkToForumCategoryB]

So far - so good.

*But*, when anyone clicks the button to create a topic in the forum, the submenus disappears and [JoomlaMenuItemForums] also lost its focus.

So, i thought it might be a good idea to restructe the menu:
Code:
[Home] [ItemA] [ItemB] [KuneanaMenuItem (Original Kunena Link)] [ItemC] [LinkToSingleArticleA] [LinkToForumCategoryA] [LinkToForumCategoryB]

But then [LinkToSingleArticleA], [LinkToForumCategoryA] and [LinkToForumCategoryB] are tabs of the forum above and not at that place where the submenus normally are.

I don't like that and would be happy if it would be possible to have the submenus where their should be - like any other Menu- and Submenuitem - and if the Menuitem for the forums hold its focus, when browsing in the forums.

I hope someone has a hint for me.
Thank you so far!

Btw: I found this here:

PS. If you want to keep your forum highlighted, you should use the same alias in both Kunena Menu and your main menu item.
docs.kunena.org/index.php/Customised_menus

But it seems not to work. All aliase are called "forum" and the highlighting is lost after clicking "new topic" for example.

Easy: change the name of the item that has the name "Forum" (in kunenamenu).

But, for the most part, the active menu item remained highlighted when you click it, yes? Highlighting does not always work, it seems. Even in this website , on this forum you will find examples where menu items do not remain highlighted.
