Question Groups Forum

Hi:
I just installed Kunena to give my users additional functionality when it comes to discussion boards. I am having a bit of trouble setting it up though.

The website is powered by Joomla 2.5, JomSocial 2.6.1, RocketTheme Tachyon 1.7, and Kunena 1.7.2. I also have the Kunena Groups plug-in as well as the plug-in that puts a menu item on the JomSocial Toolbar.

--I removed the sample categories in the Kunena category manager.
--I created a new top level category called "Committees"
----I set the Permission level to User Groups and to Registered users for all the other parts of that tab
--I go over tothe JomSocial group called "Board of Directors" which is in a JomSocial Group Category called "Committees"
--I use administrator options to edit the group. Near the bottom is a new section called "Forums" The current selection is "disabled" I try to change it to "allowed"
----This is where the problem arises. Below that section it says "This is only affected when forums are enabled in group category.

I can't find how to enable forums in the JomSocial Configuration, nor is it an option when I try to edit the category called "Committees" in JomSocial.

Back over in the Kunena environment on the Index tab, when I first installed it, it has the categories and threads that came with it. Now, however, since I removed all categories, it says "no categories in this section!" even though I have a new top level category called "Committee".

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to say the Kunena JomSocial groups plugin which Jomsocial categories are allowed to have forum and where to add those categories. Later on you can freely move them, but without these settings the plugin doesn't know what it is supposed to do.
