Kunena 6.3.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.3.8 [K 6.3.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 4.4.x/5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.3
Note: Please go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated.

This category contains miscellaneous, uncategorised user contributions, (templates, modules, plugins and hacks) relating to older versions of Kunena that are no longer supported.

The topics in this category are for historical interest only. Owing to the structural changes that occurred in K 1.7, many of the ideas in these topics will not work with later versions and, for that reason, the topics are locked.

Problem is when profile is set in Kunena config admin panel under "Security" tab for "Allow Guests to see User Profiles" to no, this does not exclude anything from the profile summery that appears next to a users post. I have started getting increasing complaints about users worried about ID Theft, yet they still like to fill this out.

I have included a sort of hack that controls this from the backend so it's not theme dependant. Whats not clean about it is that for each function, it looks to the database to retrive Kunena config so I have added two more calls to the database. Other than that it is appropriate. File attached on the Second page also includes same security add for social Icons (hence the two DB queries).

I almost forgot....
It would also be nice if an option existed either in the admin config for global or maybe in user profile config for an option to omit the birth year, and/or option to just show age.

If as a global option might be far easier to deal with for integration with things like CB and Joomsocial but I'm really not sure, I'd have to look my self.

Pretty sure everyone biggest concern is that their full birth date is not being cached in search engines everywhere.
