When Kunena is integrated with AUP: Kunena displays AUP's Point System, Rank and Medals inside the Vertical Post Profile.
When Kunena is integrated with JomSocial: new topics, new posts and thank yous are added to the JomSocial Activity Streams.
I run a gaming website where achievements are handed in the form of AUP medals. I already have the AUP medals plugged into my JomSocial profile and all that's left is to have them display in the forum. Kunena has this function built in. I want to use this function to display the medals without crippling the JomSocial component of my site.

You editted your post and I didn't see that until just now.
Considering the fact that Kunena is already fully capable of integrating with both components separately, this is a limitation within Kunena. The limiation isn't a great one; it's just unable to integrate to both components at the same time. I can understand how the development team would not have thought to allow for multiple selection here but I do not feel like this would be a complicated thing to implement as all the code is already finished.

The advice I have received from the developers is that this appears to be a limitation in K 1.6 and that it is an issue that is being investigated as part of the K 2.0 project. The advice I have received is that there is no specific fix for K 1.6 but that it will, in all probability, work with K 2.0.
