Kunena 6.4.7 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.7[K 6.4.7] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

Do you have access to the database? If so delete all the lines that start jos_fb, (drop) fb is the prefix for kunena (ex fireboard). that will remove your forum from the DB, then overwrite your files for good measure and re-install.

Do you have backup you can restore to? Did you follow the instruction in docs.kunena.com/index.php/Upgrade_Instructions ? And did that discover this problem on your test site? With upgrade, do you refer to Joomla or Kunena or other component, and which version (from and to)?

Any error messages?

Normally using the uninstalling tool within Joomla would remove the file associated with a component, so it shouldn't be necessary to remove files manually.

Did you have content in your forum or do want to drop the content and make a clean install? If that what you want you must go into your database and remove all tables containing _fb_ in their names. But before you do this you MUST backup your hole database, there doesn't exist a undo in database! And you must be very careful altering database manually and understand what you are doing.

We will try to work through your problem with you if you are patient and can help us.

When you say you attempted to "update on [your] site" what did you update? Please tell us what version of Kunena and Joomla you are now using.

I don't understand what you mean by "when i click on the home part it comes up html text and doesnt load or work". The home part of what? Perhaps the easiest way to demonstrate your problem is to provide us with a screenshot that illustrates the problem, or the URL of your website.

Waiting for further information from you. Stay cool. :cheer:

Agreed. My question also is-what kind of update did you do to your site that you had to attempt to install Kunena? Attempting to repair Kunena would be meaningless if your site is compromised.

We love stars on the Joomla Extension Directory . :-)

the latest Kunena Version? 1.5.0 or 1.0.9? 1.5.0 is alpha, you should install 1.0.9, this is stable.

Just tried it and this is what i get...

Your Extension appears to be written for an older version of Joomla!. You must enable the System - Legacy Plugin in the Plugin Manager if you wish to complete this task.

then do this, switch it to legacy mode. KN 1.0.9 only works in legacy mode.

Ahhh ... a picture's worth a thousand words! The problem has nothing to do with the version of Kunena (even though david.murphy hasn't supplied the version information we requested). (Although I we're probably discussing K 1.0.9 ... the "latest" version.)

The problem is that david.muruphy has fiddled with the default Kunena parameters. Read docs.kunena.com/index.php/Configuration . Change "Use Joomla Style?" = no
