Can anybody point me to the directions how to setup multilanguage forum. I have Kunena up and runing, but I need to implement on the fly language change.
Another words if the user changes the site settings to Spanish or Germant I want the forum to change as well to that language. My default site language is English.

If you want to have a Kunena in several languages, do the following.

Example, you want english, german, spanish and french:

Install all 4 languages for JOOMLA!
Install all 4 language-files for Kunena!

Now the user only have to choose one of these languages in his user-profile.

But remember: use Kunena language files with translated buttons too, then it will be perfect ;)

Hello Lintzy,

thank you for your comments on this. My problem is, that even the language of my website does not change, if I lock in as a user having another language. Example:

- Website is shown in german
- user X has english as the language in his user profile
- if user X logs in, the german language is still shown, NOT the english language

(I use Joomfish for organization of my translations and I have already translated most of my pages, modules and so on ... Is the use of Joomfish the problem?)

Greetings

BigL

Hi Lintzy, the problem I see here is that I use Alpha User Point for profile, so my users can't choose the language in his user-profile.

I want to know, how can I create a multilanguage through TABs for example Portuguese-BR tab and English-US tab, so when clicking on this tab will get the right forum or how do I do to have "two instances of kunena", I mean, like here we have the "Playground" and the "Forum", so I would do one for "Portuguese-BR" and other for "English-us". Any idea how to achieve that?

Thanks in advance.

Hi iLucato, nice to meet you here :cheer:

You can use the hybrid solution for that purpose:

JoomFish and Kunena Content Elements for Joomfish

Good luck
