Kunena 6.4.8 Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 6.4.8 [K 6.4.8] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.0.x/5.1.x/5.2.x/5.3.x/5.4.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 6.4
Important note: Go to the Kunena Dashboard after an upgrade so that the Kunena database tables are also updated. This is particularly necessary for major version jumps so that the table changes are adapted.

I want to remove 'Install Sample Data' alert Tip from Kunena Dashboard. was created by deng
This 'Install Sample Data' tips always be here and never disappear. It's useless for me.
Who can tell me how to remove it? Any database or something need edited or changed?

In the backend, go to Kunena -> Emoticons and also to Ranks. If there is nothing in there, then you should install the sample data ( see here ).

@rich I am now able to reproduce when installing K6.3.6 from scratch. Emoticons and ranks are present, but install sample data and Install Kunena menu's are shown in Kunena dashboard. This Issue was created some time ago, but was merely about buttons not working and that I can't reproduce. And there is now a Kunena forum install sample data in the Joomla dashboard, so I think those 2 blocks should be removed as Install Kunena menu's is available in Kunena Tools.

If the emoticons and ranks are available in the Kunena backend, they are also contained in the database.
This fix should make it possible to run Kunena without sample data and I thought the problem was solved.
The hint ‘Install SampleData’ is displayed if the #__kunena_version table contains the value 0 in the sampleData column. If you change this value to 1, this hint disappears.
So there should be another option in the backend, such as ‘Do you want to install sample data - Yes or No' to reject it if you do not want to install sample data.

But when you change it to 1 upon installation, users won't be able anymore to install sample data. Maybe both options (install sample data) and (Install Kunena menu's) should be moved to tools? I think we should create a new issue for this problem.

And there is now a Kunena forum install sample data in the Joomla dashboard

Only when sample data in version table is set to 0 (as far as I can see now).

Sample data can only be installed at the very beginning anyway. Once a category has been created, it is no longer possible. During a subsequent installation, only the missing database entries for Smieys and ranks were added. But this is no longer necessary with this fix: github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/issues/9724
