Question Installing Kunena, please wait...

5 years 2 months ago #1 by MercuryBlade

I recently upgraded my Kunena to 5.1.7 by Extensions>Manage>Update. I fear I may have chosen the wrong route because when I click on Kunena forum through components>Kunena Forum it simply says "Installing Kunena, please wait..." and its been like that for about an hour. I had also purchased Blue Eagle and was using that on the site but have not updated that yet as I am stuck in this update cycle. I have php. 7.2.6 and joomla version: Joomla! 3.8.13.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please try the following:
1. First empty the page cache
2. Go to the global configuration of Joomla
a. on tab Server - choose Error Reporting = Maximum
b. on tab System - choose Debug System = Yes
3. Go to the Kunena download page and try to install Kunena via url

If it does again not work, maybe you get a meaningful error message via debug mode. (Maybe you should upgrade your Joomla version before you try this.)
