Kunena 7.0.5 & Kunena 6.4.11 – Security Updates Released

The Kunena team has announce the arrival of Kunena 7.0.5 [K 7.0.5] in stable which is now available for download as a native Joomla extension for J! 5.4.x/6.0.x. This version addresses most of the issues that were discovered in K 6.2 / K 6.3 / K 6.4 and issues discovered during the last development stages of K 7.0.

The Kunena team is also pleased to announce the eleventh version of Kunena 6.4, a native Joomla extension for Joomla! 5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.0.

Hi, downloaded the latest package pkg_kunena_v5.0.6.1_2017-01-28 and you get the following 500 error

500 Internal Server Error

Fatal Error was detected!

The error was detected in the Kunena Component.

Fatal Error: Can't use method return value in write context in components/com_kunena/controller/message/list/recent/display.php on line 264


Overwrote .../display.php with an earlier version pkg_kunena_v5.0.4.1_2016-11-26 and all good

The error causes a 500 internal server error when clicking the profile tab

I think you use a outdated PHP version, please update.

Ah could be, I am on a plesk VPS and have root permissions so better look into how I do that.
