Just tried to upgrade one of my Kunena forums to 5.0.6
And the upgrade fails.
Joomla update did see there was a update and tried to install, this failed.
If I now go to the Kunena control panel it keeps trying to update but with the fail message.
And now the actual forum is offline

Here is a screen grab.

Try to clean cache, also on backend, on the joomla cache page.

Then try to install the package again.

Have cleared the cache, and Joomla update does not show an update.
But still when I go to the Kunena back end I am getting the installation failed error.

Any other suggestions?

try to install the package manually, by the joomla installer.

else try to fix permissions with admin tools (component)

When you say "install the package manually"
Do you mean as a full "new" install?
Will this still keep the existing forum/threads etc all intact?

I cleared the cache again, and for some strange reason the upgrade has now worked :)

That is a big relief.
I want to say a huge thank you to the Kunena team for the help/support and continued development.

Thank you.

Do you have another method?
I have this advice did not help on an empty Joomla.
In the first case, the installation has failed.
After removing that already installed, the installation was successful, but the transition to a component, I got an error HTTP ERROR 500

If necessary, I can provide access to the admin panel.
